The Broken Puppet (Elite Kings Club #2) Review



I truly cannot get enough of the characters or the worlds that Amo creates! I mean, I am now re-reading this series for the third time. I would have loved to do a first reaction on these books because they are so phenomenal but I am in the process of buying a home and my computer was down. But this story takes right off from the first book in this series without loosing any of it momentum. Its like there was never a break and the story continues as a whole.

Yet again, Amo Jones really creates this world that you don't as a read want to leave. It continues on with Madison and sheds light on her past while exploring who she is and how she fits into this world that revolves around the Elite Kings Club (EKC). It reveals more of the EKC and each of its members, both young and old. This is a continuation from The Silver Sawn and it explores more of what that is and why it is important. I feel Madison is such a strong character but because of her past her emotions really do tend to make her choices ones that should have had more thought put into them. Sure, she is impulsively lead by her emotions. But she is faithful, caring, strong, beautiful, and at this point in the story both betrayed and hurt (more so then in the first book). The ending though... that's when all the secrets and everything that was hidden starts to break through.

  So, I like twisted tales and dark romance but this one definitely took it to a whole new level. This book comes with warnings, allowing the reader to understand what they are getting themselves into. This is not a BDSM "love" story.  No spoilers... What can I say... I am truly obsessed with Amo Jones and all that she creates. The woman has me hooked not just on her words but the characters she creates and she knocked it out of the park with this stand alone.  As always... no spoilers here You want love, self discovery, mystery, mafia... Oh yea and really good sex? This checks all of those boxes.  This story starts off by giving the reader a tad of a preview of what is to come via a prologue, which not going to lie, I had totally forgot about it, until the book was almost finished....
