Ruined Castles review

Image
Well, Amo did it again. This was the conclusion that I didn't even realize I needed! After reading Sancte Diaboli Part 2, I thought I had my happy ending to the EKC, but like I said, now I am satisfied with the conclusion of this series. I won't give away any spoilers, but I will say this. The character of Madison is very relatable. For as strong as she is, she makes mistakes and it takes her awhile, but she grows from them. Madship got their happy ever after, as well as the EKC.  Description Nothing is going to make sense once you flip open this first chapter. You’re going to wonder why the fuck I made the decisions I did. Why he did what he did. I’m not going to make this easy for you. I’m going to guide you through loops that you’re going to wish I had just skipped, but I’m not going to do that either. You’re going to feel my pain, my loss, and my heart breaking in my chest. You’re going to watch me trip and fall, and get back up again. You’re going to wish you...

Sancte Diaboli: Part 2 (Elite Kings Club #7)

Image
Oh I am beyond excited that I had to go ahead and post this ASAP! I received my ARC copy this morning and I am beyond excited, elated, emotional, and forever grateful to be apart of Amo Jones Blogger Team.  Of course I am at work right now so I really even had a chance to get a little time with this book, but I can tell you right now it is going to be a ride of emotions for me. It is the final book in the first generation EKC, but Ruined Castles will be a continuation of Madison through her journal after she left Bishop. OHHHHH, BRING IT ON!!!! Oh yea, this will also be my first reaction review. Never any spoilers.... So the story starts off a couple days after Sancte Diaboli part 1 leaves off. Yet again, Amo has created another world within the EKC. On a whole new level. She really has created a masterpiece with an almost neoclassical setting where Saint finds herself. BUT, as always, no spoilers here (I do not want to ruin this for anyone) but it is a beautiful settin...

Malum part 1 (Elite Kings Club #4)

Oh this story gives me the feels and bad! I cried, I laughed, I got mad, I cried I was truly an emotional wreak by the time I finished this book. This is the first one of Amo's stories that comes with a trigger warning. Honestly though, its for a good reason. I absolutely loved this story, whished this could be a first reaction but it was the fourth time I had read it. But it still gets me and that as a lot to do with how well the characters interact within the story and that's all do to Amo's phenomenal writing skills. The woman can create the most beautiful and alluring worlds. She is an artist with words. "Not all of us have the freedom that money and power provide. Some of us have to actually unlock ourselves from what keeps us shackled, not pay our way out" -Tillie Description “Love is savage, love is blind, love is something they may not find…” Once upon a time, there was a young girl who lived in a battered trailer, a girl from the wrong side of the...

Tacet A Mortius (Elite Kings Club #3) Review

Image
This book gives a bit of a recap then leads right into what the heck Madison is going through. And she has gone through a lot. A lot that would genuinely break a person, yet she keeps fighting. She doesn't give up. Moreover, the people who revolve around her truly care about her, but it is in the past and lies that keep her from seeing what is happening as it happens.  Description   "You could have a million memories and good times with someone, but if that someone is in love with someone else, that single memory doesn't mean anything up against even one memory of the person they truly love" -Madison    " Hail to the king, and watch him reign, this game was somewhat fun, until the finale came… Now we’re here, with carnage and despair, and the only questions left to answer, are the ones that do not appear... A king loses a war, and a swan sheds her wings, chaos collides with peace, as the crows begin to sing… Enter if you dare, because I swear the end is near, ...

I truly cannot get enough of the characters or the worlds that Amo creates! I mean, I am now re-reading this series for the third time. I would have loved to do a first reaction on these books because they are so phenomenal but I am in the process of buying a home and my computer was down. But this story takes right off from the first book in this series without loosing any of it momentum. Its like there was never a break and the story continues as a whole. Description   "' I thought I knew who I was, but I was wrong.' The Silver Swan - 1.  A girl who is tarnished. Tainted. One who does not fit into the confinement of legend. The Silver Swan -2.  Madison Montgomery. I was lied to. I was cheated. Resigned to pick up the scraps of empty memories and disarrayed thoughts, I left. After finally cutting the strings of manipulation, I resorted to do what I’ve done since I was a child, something my father drilled into my brain since I could handle my first rifle. Run....

The Silver Swan (Elite Kings Club #1) Review

Let me tell you... This story took my on a roller coaster of a ride. It has mystery and intrigue and of course really hot sex. It was a bit hard for me to wrap my head around the fact that these are teenagers (albeit almost adults, but still, I remember sex at that age and unless it was with someone older, it wasn't like that!!!!) Description   " Riddle me this... “I am neither dead, nor alive, and I’m not something little Madison can hide. But you will be dead, by the time this is done... the timer starts now, and the games have just begun…” Madison Montgomery comes from money and power, but when someone close to her commits the ultimate crime, Madison must live with her tainted name for the rest of her life. When she begins Riverside Preparatory Academy, the private school her father has swept her into in The Hamptons, she hopes for a fresh start. What she wasn't hoping for was the pack of bad boys who run the school; ten, to be exact. When Madison gains the attention ...
